How did you hear about CrossFit and what was your first experience/WOD?

I first heard about it through Susie at pole. Came and tried out the free Sunday bootcamps in the square before starting properly.


When did you first come to CrossFit Ancoats Manchester?

I've been coming since August 2018.


How many days do you CrossFit? What classes do you normally take (times and specialties)?

Between 3-5 sessions a week depending on my schedule. Usually do weekday 5:30 or 6:30 classes. I like the group work out sessions.

What motivates you/keeps you coming back to CrossFit Ancoats Manchester? I come back for the community and the varied workouts, that push you out of your comfort zone. The fact I always feel great afterwards (if not slightly broken) definitely helps. CrossFit Ancoats is different from any other gym or class I’ve been too because I don’t feel judged for what I can’t do. I’m motivated by my own want to better my fitness and health and also I don’t like letting down the coaches so try push myself.

Favorite thing about Ancoats/Manchester?

Good food and friendly people.


What accomplishment are you the most proud of (outside and inside of the gym)?

My entire health and fitness journey over the last year and a bit.


After a hard workout, what is your favorite meal?

Falafel with homemade hummus a really nice salad and flatbread.


What are some of your interests outside of CrossFit?

Reading, cooking, fashion.


What do you do for a living?

Student Design and Technology Teacher.


What is one goal that you are currently working on?

Trying to run faster as well as building up confidence with the barbells.
