SUSIE
HEAD COACH & OWNER
“I help people who feel unfit, intimidated, or unsure where to start build confidence, fitness, and a routine they actually enjoy.”
I didn’t grow up as “the fit one.”
Around 15 years ago, I was living a pretty sedentary lifestyle until a friend encouraged me to try pole fitness. I was instantly hooked, it challenged me in a completely new way and made me realise I was capable of more than I thought.
That curiosity led me to CrossFit… and it ticked every box.
But it wasn’t easy. I struggled with a lot in the beginning, especially conditioning, running, and anything cardio-based. I know exactly what it feels like to be out of your comfort zone in a class.
What I loved was that CrossFit never let me avoid those weaknesses, it helped me improve them, while still making training enjoyable and varied.
That’s why I’m so passionate about coaching now.
There’s nothing better than seeing someone go from:
“I don’t want to exercise…” to “I can’t imagine my life without it.”
That shift changes everything - not just physically, but mentally too.
Coaching Philosophy
Move well. Move often. Enjoy the process.
Remember: comparison is the thief of joy.
Your journey is your own and that’s exactly how it should be.

BEN
HEAD COACH & OWNER
“I help busy professionals train efficiently, stay consistent, and build confidence in and out of the gym.”
I got into training through sport as a kid, then spent years in the typical gym environment - following bodybuilding programs, doing the same routines… and eventually losing motivation. It was boring and just not fun.
When I first walked into a CrossFit class back in 2012, it completely changed how I saw fitness and exercise.
It wasn’t just about workouts anymore - it was structured, coached, and actually enjoyable.
Now, as a 40+ year old, I love helping people who feel stuck, inconsistent, or unsure where to start find their rhythm with training and build something they can stick to long-term.
Coaching Philosophy
Perfect technique first. Then we build intensity.
Anyone can make you tired - my job is to make you better.

“I help people build structure, discipline, and confidence through training - especially when they’re starting fresh or getting back on track.”

I got into training at a point where I needed something to channel my energy into after I stopped drinking.
At the time, I didn’t realise how important that decision would be but being introduced to CrossFit gave me structure, routine, and something positive to focus on.
It wasn’t always easy.

Coming from a football background, I had decent fitness, but strength training was a different story. Progress felt slow, and learning to be patient was a challenge.
That’s why I relate so well to members who feel like they’re not progressing as quickly as they’d like - because I’ve been there.
Now, what I enjoy most is seeing those moments where something finally clicks - a movement feels right, a lift improves, or confidence grows.
That shift in someone’s mindset from frustration to progress is what it’s all about.
Coaching Philosophy
Move well first, no matter how simple the exercise. Everything else gets better from there.
When movement improves, the workout feels better… and so does everything after it.

LYND
COACH
“I help people, especially women, move away from chasing how they look, and start building strength, confidence, and pride in what their body can do.”
I started training for all the wrong reasons.
Growing up around Asian beauty standards, I believed fitness meant being as skinny as possible. At 18, I was running 5Ks almost every day, skipping meals, and thinking discipline meant eating less and doing more.
In 2018, I joined a gym and started strength training but my focus was still the same: change how I looked.
I did get stronger… but the training became repetitive, and I was still chasing aesthetics rather than enjoying the process.
Then in 2023, I tried CrossFit and everything changed.
For the first time, I stopped focusing on how my body looked, and started focusing on what it could do.
From swinging on the pull-up bar like a monkey to getting my first muscle-up…
That shift didn’t happen overnight, it came from consistency and trusting the process.
Now, I’m passionate about helping others, especially women who’ve felt the same pressure I did, realise just how strong and capable they really are.
Coaching Philosophy
Show up. Enjoy the process. Trust that progress will come.
When you start focusing on what your body can do, everything changes, both physically and mentally.

“I help members improve their technique, build confidence under the bar, and unlock strength they didn’t know they had.”
I got into training after deciding I needed a lifestyle change.
Like a lot of people, I’d spent my late teens more focused on going out than looking after myself. My dad suggested I try CrossFit, and I started out training in my garage.
After one particularly frustrating session trying to snatch, I realised I needed proper coaching, so I joined a local gym.
That’s where everything changed.
I started to see what was actually possible with the right guidance, and I quickly became hooked - especially on the technical side of lifting.
In the beginning, my strength and mobility were both lacking, which pushed me to spend more time developing my weightlifting.
A lot of that journey was done solo, especially after emigrating, which meant a lot of trial and error, figuring things out the hard way.
That’s what drives me now as a coach.
I enjoy the process of learning and refining technique, but more importantly, I want to help others skip that frustration — and progress faster with the right guidance.
Coaching Philosophy
Weightlifting is as much mental as it is physical.
If you’re willing to learn, stay patient, and keep showing up — progress will come.
